Come join us October 22nd from 5:30-8:30 PM for a great community event: Honey I Shrunk the BCD. Kôr will be there tabling and answering questions along with many others! Great food, great people, great community!
Our fundraising consultant said “Do a friend-raiser!” “What is that?” we asked – and you may be asking the same question. Well, Friend-raisers are an opportunity to learn about, and explore giving to, a nonprofit.
We will be holding Kôr’s first friend-raiser at one of our favorite restaurants, Cafe Sintra. The event will be the first Friday of October from 4:30-6:30 and will feature a wine tasting, tapas, live music and some great Kôr-style fun. Click here for more information. If you are already a supporter of Kôr and want to share the love with your friends, email us at email@example.com for tickets.
Our five Kôrazon homes will be goal net-zero energy. To reach this goal a piece of the puzzle is super-tight air sealing. Northwest AerroBarrier has pledged in-kind support in the amount of $13,750 to make this possible. We have $5500 left to raise and the Zero Energy Project has offered to match all donations made toward this funding gap. If the environment, affordable housing, and energy efficiency is something you can get behind, donate today! See our AerroBarrier request for support for more information on this amazing product.
Thank you to those who have donated to this worthy project:
Come drink a pint (or two) for Kôr Community Land Trust! Worthy Brewing has chosen us as their March 5th Charity Pint recipient. From 4:00-9:00pm, $1 from every pint sold will go to support our mission. We are particularly proud to have this honor because Worthy’s sustainability values align so well with ours.
Save the date! There is much to celebrate this year as we begin work on our first land trust community. Join us for dinner, drinks, and a sure-to-please silent auction. The evening also features live music by The Quons, complimentary wine, and an opportunity to learn more about Kôr. Your support at this event will help us put five families into stable, affordable homes! Tickets and sponsorships can be purchased at Brownpaper Tickets, or by emailing us – firstname.lastname@example.org.
