Amy has worked in construction for 14 years and she has owned Green Apple construction for 9 years. She is holds a BS in Energy Systems Engineering from Oregon State University. Amy has lived in Bend since 1996 and has seen first hand the change in our housing needs. She has a passion for sustainable building and design and is excited to bring that to Kôr. Amy is most happy outdoors, and believes that sustainability and affordable housing should go hand-in-hand.
Laurie brings more than 20 years of development experience to Kôr in areas ranging from donor relations to grant funding to agency partnerships. At the University of California, Santa Barbara, where she served as Executive Director of the Student Affairs Grants and Development department, she successfully funded significant, multi-year projects with emphasis on efforts designed to build diversity, equity, and inclusion. After retiring from UCSB, she moved with her husband to Bend in 2013. Realizing she was not yet ready for retirement, and eager for greater connection to and engagement with the Bend community, she turned to work with small, non-profit organizations that are poised for growth.
She is thrilled to be the Development Director for Kôr and would, of course, be happy to talk with any of you about how you might support the organization’s operations and on-the-ground projects. When not raising funds for Kôr, she loves traveling, getting together with family and friends over food and drink, and showing the best of Bend to pretty much all who are interested!
