Kôr Community Land Trust is a new nonprofit created to address the need for attainable housing in Bend, Oregon. There are many hard-working members of our community who cannot afford to purchase a home and put down roots here. These citizens work in our schools, grocery stores, libraries, medical facilities, and restaurants, just to name a few. Everyone in Bend benefits greatly from the value and diversity they bring to our city. Kôr will provide permanently affordable homeownership opportunities for these important community members and their families.
The housing Kôr provides will not only be attainable to low and middle-income households, but will also help preserve Bend’s beautiful natural environment. Kôr’s homes will be built to minimize energy and water use. This is sustainable, AND will lower utility bills for the homeowners.
Kôr was co-founded by Amy Warren and Jason Offutt and is run by a ten-member board of directors. Amy owns Green Apple Construction in Bend, and is also a graduate of OSU Cascade’s Energy Systems Engineering degree program. Jason owns Shelter Studio, Inc. in Bend where he designs sustainable and net-zero energy homes. Kôr is currently raising funds for our first community. Join us!
